Hello there! I’m Anne Cardosa, and I might be a lot like you. I’m a married empty nester and a proud mom to four amazing adult children. They are my everything. 💜
As a self-taught quilter, I have plenty of funny and painful stories to share. My quilting journey began in a 7th-grade home economics class and has been one of my lifelong passions. The quilt that first inspired me was hand-made by my great-grandmother during the Dust Bowl in Texas in the early 1900s. It’s tattered and worn, and I’m deeply grateful it was passed down to me by my grandfather, one of her 13 children (pictured above).
I started working with Anne about a month ago. She has taught me methods I can use to help change my mindset in that short time. No matter what is happening in my life, she always helps me see the positive even when I don’t initially see it. I love her perspective and her wise advice. I’m truly grateful to have her in my life.

I’ve been going to therapy for over 20 years, and the self-coaching model Anne teaches really complements it well. I’ve learned a lot of the pieces of the self-coaching model before, but the way they are combined and implemented has really helped me. In fact, my therapist and I recently decided that I no longer needed regular therapy sessions. I credit Anne and her life coaching methods for this.
I joined Anne’s program with an “I’ll go ahead and try this out” attitude. But once I learned about my brain and the science behind it, everything started to click. Before, I would try different self-help methods, unsure if they’d work, and often found them too hard to follow. One of the biggest things I’ve learned is to be “the watcher of my thoughts,” that is one of my favorite things now! I understand that I can choose how I see things from the past, present, and future. I am going through a situation with someone who is not going away anytime soon. But I no longer complain about it or dwell on how much this person has hurt me. Instead, I see her as God sees her, with pure love.
I would never have known what I was missing had I not joined this mastermind. The tools taught are a combination of magic. I created a premier sewing school for children aged 6 to 18. Over my 15 years in business, I taught more than 400 children about the wonderful world of sewing. I aimed to create wholesome memories for my students by organizing annual quilt and fashion shows and encouraging them to enter sewing competitions at the California State Fair.
My students consistently won top awards, and I took pride in fostering their self-esteem, self-worth, and independence. I also created service projects, like making 28 preemie baby quilts for a local hospital and 30 matching pillowcase dresses for uniforms for a girls’ school in remote Ghana. My involvement in the community led to opportunities to judge sewing competitions at the state fair where my students were not competing.
For 14 years, I cherished running my sewing school, which fulfilled me in more ways than I anticipated. However, as my children grew up and left home, I began to feel stuck and overwhelmed. Despite my love for teaching, I felt a strong pull to serve my community in a brand new way. That’s when I met a life coach who profoundly changed my life, continuously inspiring and amazed me at every meeting. She blew my mind month after month.
